NISSAN PATHFINDER Used Car Review
This Japanese mid-sized 4WD has chopped and changed between a traditional 4WD body-on-frame chassis and a more car-like monocoque construction across several generations dating to 1986. It started life as a two-door off-road wagon based on the Navara ute but in 2013 the fourth-generation Pathfinder focused on the suburbs with a seven-seater SUV approach. A hybrid model was added in 2014.
Pros
Cons
- Strong V6 petrol engine
- Latest model's vast, seven-seater interior
- Driving manners of latest generation
- Safety/convenience features boosted in 2017 update
- No longer designed for tough off-roading
- Interior design would welcome modernisation
- No longer a diesel option; hybrid economy not that special
Some rivals (Mazda CX-9, Kia Sorento) more satisfying to drive
